I went for Hove 3-5pm, rigged the trusty 5m. Shorebreak was chest high and starting to suck out a bit, but no bother, except for the lack of wind. Wallowed out safely, turned gently and rode a decent one in. Next 45mins was all a bit underpowered but waves were clean and unruffled. Then it kicked in a bit with the front coming through. 5m was way too much in the end, but the extra power was much appreciated when whanging down the face on the big fellas. It was solid logo high on the sets and BIG down the line. Pretty much dead sideshore. Extra wind was a godsend on the inside too for making the late gybe and escape to sea. Epic stuff once again.
